The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Prince Simelane, has received equipment valued at USD 10,000 (approximately E180,000) from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to accelerate the rollout of the Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECMS).
The handover occurred at the Ministry\u2019s headquarters, led by UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, Nessie Golakai-Gould.
The equipment will be utilised by the Royal Eswatini Police, His Majesty\u2019s Correctional Services, and other key stakeholders in the justice sector.
The IECMS represents a major step toward digitalising Eswatini\u2019s justice system, enabling improved case tracking, reducing delays, and enhancing transparency.<\/p>\n

Commending the Ministry and partners, Ms. Golakai-Gould said the system\u2019s successful implementation will advance the country\u2019s development priorities and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 16: promoting peace, justice, and strong institutions.
\u201cBy digitising court operations, the system will help streamline workflows, improve data management, and ultimately serve the people of Eswatini more effectively,\u201d she said.
In his remarks, Prince Simelane expressed appreciation to UNDP, describing the IECMS as a transformative platform that links the operations of the police, Anti-Corruption Commission, Prosecution, Attorney General\u2019s Office, Judiciary, Law Society, Correctional Services, and Human Rights Commission, in partnership with the Ministry of ICT.
\u201cThe IECMS will enable seamless collaboration and coordination across the justice sector. This equipment will empower our police and correctional services with the tools needed to implement the system effectively, ensuring faster, more reliable, and accessible justice delivery for all emaSwati,\u201d he said.
