Today marks an important moment in our journey towards building a more sustainable and inclusive economy,\u201d Nkosi said.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasised that at Nedbank, sustainability is not treated as a side responsibility but as a<br \/>\nstrategic imperative.<\/p>\n<p>Through initiatives such as the Nedbank Green Zone, the bank is<br \/>\nshowcasing innovative solutions aimed at addressing climate change while supporting green<br \/>\nentrepreneurship and small businesses committed to sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Nkosi further outlined the bank\u2019s broader purpose of using financial expertise to create<br \/>\nmeaningful social and environmental impact: \u201cOur commitment to green finance reflects our<br \/>\nbelief that economic progress must go hand in hand with environmental stewardship.<\/p>\n<p>This seminar is a direct expression of that purpose, as we seek to advance green finance as a catalyst<br \/>\nfor inclusive growth and environmental resilience,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2564\" src=\"https:\/\/genesisekucalenimedia.com\/edn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/PAGE-7-Mokgadi-Maloba-from-Nedbank-South-Africa-was-the-guest-speaker.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Tied to Global Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Managing Director noted that Nedbank\u2019s sustainability strategy is strongly aligned with the<br \/>\nUnited Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:<\/p>\n<p>The seminar\u2019s keynote speaker, Mokgadi Maloba, Sustainability Expert at Nedbank Group,<br \/>\npresented insights into how the financial sector can play a transformative role in enabling climate<br \/>\nresilience, innovation, and inclusive growth across Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Her address highlighted some of the climate-smart initiatives Nedbank is driving across the<br \/>\nregion, positioning the bank as the \u201cgreen bank\u201d that prioritises environmental stewardship while<br \/>\npromoting economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the keynote, the programme featured a panel discussion with sustainability<br \/>\nsector leaders, who explored the evolving narrative of green finance and its implications for<br \/>\nbusiness competitiveness, investment models, and policy development in Eswatini.<\/p>\n<p>Nkosi urged stakeholders to actively participate, collaborate, and embrace innovative financing mechanisms<br \/>\nthat can unlock the potential of green finance for the Kingdom and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s make this seminar a catalyst for meaningful change,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n<p>The Green Finance Seminar was widely welcomed by attendees as a timely initiative,<br \/>\nparticularly as Eswatini faces increasing climate challenges while seeking to expand its green<br \/>\neconomy and attract investment in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly<br \/>\ninfrastructure.<br \/>\n?
