Mduduzi Matsebula, officially handed over a state-of-the-art ambulance worth E1.1 million to Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The donation forms part of His Majesty King Mswati III\u2019s broader mandate to strengthen healthcare delivery across the Kingdom of Eswatini.<\/p>\n<p>The new ambulance is expected to ease pressure on the hospital and improve response times for patients in need of urgent medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Matsebula reaffirmed government\u2019s commitment to supporting both public and private health institutions.<\/p>\n<p>He announced that the government will cover fuel and maintenance costs for the vehicle, a measure aimed at alleviating RFM\u2019s financial challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis ambulance is not just a vehicle it is a lifeline,\u201d said the Minister. \u201cBy ensuring that it is fully serviced and fuelled, we are making certain that no patient is left unattended due to transport constraints.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>RFM Board Chairman, Straidom Mpanza, expressed gratitude on behalf of the hospital, saying the donation would go a long way in improving service delivery.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3111\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3111\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3111\" src=\"https:\/\/genesisekucalenimedia.com\/edn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/PAGE-4-The-donated-ambulance.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3111\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The donated ambulance<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThis ambulance will greatly reduce the workload and enhance our capacity to save lives,\u201d Mpanza said. \u201cWe thank government for responding to the needs of our hospital and community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 22 months, the Ministry of Health has procured about 70 vehicles, with more than 20 being ambulances, underscoring government\u2019s determination to modernise the country\u2019s health infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister also highlighted that the newly donated ambulance is equipped with a tracking system that allows the Ministry\u2019s transport department to monitor its movements and usage.<\/p>\n<p>He warned against misuse, noting that any abuse of the vehicle would result in its immediate recall and reassignment to other sectors in need.<\/p>\n<p>The handover ceremony comes at a time when the country continues to strengthen its healthcare response capacity to meet the growing needs of Emaswati.<\/p>\n<p><strong><div class=\"_df_book df-lite\" id=\"3089\"  data-title=\"\" wpoptions=\"true\" thumbtype=\"\" ><\/div><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The government\u2019s ongoing investment in ambulances and hospital support is seen as a step toward achieving equitable access to quality healthcare across the nation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"By Thokozani Mazibuko In a significant boost to the nation\u2019s healthcare sector, the Minister of Health, Hon.
