{"id":4674,"date":"2025-10-21T13:15:23","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T11:15:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swazidailynews.com\/?p=4674"},"modified":"2025-10-21T13:15:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T11:15:23","slug":"top-women-farmers-to-be-honoured-at-national-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/genesisekucalenimedia.com\/edn\/4674\/business\/top-women-farmers-to-be-honoured-at-national-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Top Women Farmers to be honoured at National Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Delisa Magagula<\/p>\n<p>The Woman Farmer Foundation (WFF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, will host the 18th Annual Woman Farmer Competition Prize-Giving Ceremony next week to honour Eswatini\u2019s leading female farmers.<\/p>\n<p>The event marks the conclusion of a nationwide selection process that began in September and drew a record 247 participants from across all four ecological regions of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>All the contestants farm on Swazi Nation Land, reflecting the growing participation of women in the country\u2019s agricultural production.<\/p>\n<p>The Manzini Region recorded the highest number of entries, reaffirming its position as Eswatini\u2019s agricultural hub.<\/p>\n<p>The large turnout also signals rising interest in agribusiness among women farmers, particularly in key sectors such as crop production, livestock, and dairy.<\/p>\n<p>The competition featured two main categories: the Youth Category and the Adult Category.
