Genesis Ekucaleni Media emerges at a historic moment for Eswatini, offering a stage for the Kingdom’s stories to reach both local and global audiences. The name embodies its mission: “Genesis” signifies the beginning, and “Ekucaleni” in siSwati means “at the beginning”. Together, they reflect a commitment to starting a new era of cultural innovation and preservation in Eswatini.
Our Founder – Senator Pholile Shakantu
Senator Pholile Shakantu brings visionary leadership to Genesis. A champion for women, youth, and culture, she has built a company that goes beyond production, mentoring artists in both creative and business skills. Through her hands-on guidance, emerging filmmakers, musicians, and performers gain the tools to achieve financial independence and international recognition.
